How Our Roof Leak Referral Works in Greenville
Four steps, no charge to you, and complete clarity about who does what. If a referral service will not explain this plainly, that tells you something.
The four steps
- You call and describe the problem.
Where the water is showing, how long it has been happening, what the weather was doing, and the type of building. The more specific you are, the better the match.
- We match you to a contractor covering your ZIP.
Based on where you are, what kind of roof you have, and who is available. An active leak on a steep historic-district roof is a different call-out from a flat porch roof in Greenville.
- You deal with the contractor directly.
They arrange the visit, inspect, explain what they found and give you a price. You decide whether to go ahead.
- The contractor does the work and stands behind it.
The contract is between you and them. Any warranty, guarantee, insurance and licence belongs to them.

What we will never do
- Claim credentials, ratings or experience that belong to a contractor
- Publish reviews we have not received and cannot attribute
- Quote you a price for work we are not performing
- Promise a response time we do not control
- Take payment from you for roofing work
Verify before you hire — three checks, five minutes
- Licence.
South Carolina regulates residential contractors through the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Residential work under $10,000 falls under a Residential Specialty registration covering roofing above the roof deck; work over that threshold, and all commercial roofing, requires a general contractor licence with a roofing classification. Ask which they hold and look it up.
- Insurance.
Ask for a current certificate showing general liability and workers’ compensation. If someone is hurt on your roof and the contractor has no cover, that becomes your problem.
- A written scope.
What is being repaired, what materials, what happens to the price if rotten decking is found underneath, and what warranty is offered on the workmanship.
That is five minutes of checking that protects a job worth considerably more. It applies to any contractor you hire, through us or otherwise.
More about the model is on our about page, and the full service is described on the main roof leak repair in Greenville, SC page.
Questions about how the referral works
How long does it take to be connected with a roofer?
Usually within the same call. We take the details, match you to a contractor covering your ZIP, and they contact you directly to arrange the visit. If nobody suitable is available for your area and roof type we will tell you that rather than send someone unsuitable.
Is there any charge to me?
No. There is no charge to you for being connected with a contractor. Participating contractors may compensate us for the referral. Anything you pay for the roofing work itself is paid to the contractor under an agreement between you and them.
Am I obliged to use the contractor you connect me with?
No. There is no obligation to accept a quote, and on anything beyond emergency stabilisation we would actively encourage you to get a second price. A contractor who objects to that is telling you something.
What if I am not happy with the contractor?
Raise it with them first and in writing, since the agreement is between the two of you. Tell us as well — it is useful information and it affects who we refer people to in future. For formal complaints about a licensed contractor, the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation is the relevant body.
Ready to get it looked at?
Call and describe the problem. We will connect you with an independent roofing contractor covering Greenville.
Calls may be routed to a participating contractor and we may be compensated for the referral.
